Rémi Fox is a saxophonist, improviser, composer, and artistic director of numerous projects where experimentation and the search for new forms play a central role.
He holds a Master’s degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in Jazz and Improvised Music, along with an award in Generative Improvisation and a Performer Artist Diploma. He also earned a Certificate of Aptitude for Music Teaching from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon.
Rémi is an artistic teaching professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt (Jazz and Improvised Music). He co-founded the Collectif Loo, a group of artist-researchers who create cutting-edge contemporary music.
He performs worldwide, both solo and with various ensembles, blending his music with other art forms such as theater, dance, cinema, and visual and digital arts. His work is nurtured through creative residencies at prestigious institutions including Cité Musicale-Metz, Ateliers Médicis, Ircam, Cirque Électrique, Association Tournesol – Artists in Hospitals, and the Villa Médicis – French Academy in Rome.
